popped along to West mids of TVRCC today......came out from pub to find water everywhere!

Turns out to be split pipe under jubilee clip on inlet side of water pump.....Dave, aka RAWSEWedge (Griff forum)was on hand to help locate and help me remove pipes etc to get to the root cause ....AA man was called and after an hours hard graft of knuckle scraping had managed to fashion a rather good repair using the good section of pipe & a plastic pipe insert.....now the beast is fixed and back to running a good temp (didn't overheat engine.....pipe must have 'gone' on engine shutdown.......)...so happy tale in the end

Oh yeah i can spell Water before you take the p@@@!

so thanks to Dave (RAW) and Paul Wood of the AA without whose tools and box of bodge bits i'd be up Shite creek without a paddle

p.s. my car now has tyre dust caps off a Boeing 757....adds a least 10 BHP i'm sure

Glad you got it sorted, I guess if it was going to go that was a good place for it to happen with help to hand!

after driving the beast in such fine weather with nice thick cold air......i'm spent!

great drive!

AM400 it was fair turn out....and the gods only failed us for a 10 min short sprinkling!!

Carl with his 280i Tasmin (short rear end) FHC was there so it was a double wedge header!!
Griffs,Chims,M,S,Tusc and a Tamora (i think...not to hot on the modern styles these days )

Yeah, well there may be water under this one but it came from the garden hose

Glad you got it sorted FT. I realy must get round to putting a decent tool kit together for the boot.
