Wonder what performance is like compared with stock 400?
A guy who used to work for a TVR Dealers in London and regularly serviced one of the 400 SXs said the car would wheel spin in 3rd quite easily.. one of the best cars he'd ever worked on apparently - I think that was the silver one..
Provided this car has been serviced regularly irrespective of mileage it should be ok.. but lack of info in the advert may suggest otherwise? I dunno - don't see an SX for sale for ages then 2 come along..
Something fishy? H=Just a question not an aspirtion!
When I had the SEAC for sale at the end of last year a chap came and looked at it and said he'd bought new, in '89, a 400SX. He said it was a 400 bodied car with a 4.0 Supercharged (S/C) engine. He didn't buy my SEAC as he'd found his car for sale in Australia.
However I had been informed, perhaps wrongly that there was only one 400 bodied SX which was a TVR show car and it had the 350SX engine as Haughins had not done a 4.0 unit. Thus perhaps there are two and thus is this the show car or the one that used to belong to the chap who looked at my SEAC?
Also as we commented on here some time ago hasn't a green 400SX been sold a few times recently ~2 years back by RT/Wedge, then privately, etc - It looks good but is it an animal to drive. If Neil's on the forum it'd be good for him to tell us the history, the performance, etc.
Seamus - The chap who looked at my SEAC said he thought his 400SX pulled away quicker which means it would be awsome as my SEAC had a Stage 4 lump in it. The 'feels quicker' would be due to my cammy 4.2 (power) versus a torquey 4.0 S/C with loads of mid range grunt.
Interesting car all the same - £?
