I have an sd1 gearbox with all the casting numbers etc are the same as my other gearbox, but there is no serial number on it ,not even the cast block where the number should be! Can anybody tell me what box it is,thanks.

Without the serial numbers I think it will be very dificult to tell what the box is from and what ratios it has fitted. The box was also used in some commercial vans IIRC and the ratios will be a lot lower.
Only way to find out is probably to open it up, or measure how many revolutions the output turns for every turn of the input in each gear and work it back from that.
Hope this helps.

I've only ever come across one set of ratio'd LT77box. The Works TR8's and SD1's had a close Ratio set fitted but where specials.
Try N&T transmission in Nuneaton - Ken is the Fountain of all Knowledge LT77 wise. Bernie at Competition Trans is also pretty good.
