Hi Chapps

Can any one help me with a little question or two

Question 1, Im in the ending stages of puting a new cam in the SEAC, a 224 kent and some one, not me took off the oil feed and return from the adapter where the oil filter would normaly be and i cant remember if the pipe from the back of the filter links into the point closest to the chassis or the engine, can some one send me a pic or just tell me which way it should be please , im sure its the same set up on an SE as the SEAC.

Question 2, in the process of doing the cam i decided to have the altinator overhald in i didnt talk a pic of the back of it to remember exactly where the wires go....dum i know and i will not be makeing the same mistake again, so can some one please take a pic and either post it or email it to me from my profile...

i cant wait for her to fire up and breath life again, its been a long time with out grinning

You know that i mean

Thanks for all your help in advance

The innermost pipe from the oil pump goes to the lower connection on the thermostat, and the outer pipe from the pump goes to the rear facing connection on the remote oil filter housing.

Thanks Paul
I had a feeling that was the way it had to fit when you sit the pipes in to place, I had to be sure.
Any thoughts on the altinator.

Normally on the alternator the two thick wires (brown)go to the same thicker bolt (M8?), with the thinner (dash charging indicator)going to the smaller bolts (M5?)

Well that was the case on the 350 and 400 so imagine the same on the SEAC

on my 400 the 2 large brown wires connect to the B+ stud terminal, and the warning light wire (brown / yellow) connect to the smallest of the 3 spade connections.

The wire to the coolant temp sender is green with a blue stripe - just checked on my car, and its also in the Bible.
