Throttle Potentiometer 350i 1986
Discussion
The throttle pot is definately standard landrover. I got one recently from John craddocks online www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/
The three pin connector is a straight fit and it works fine on my '89 350i. Not cheap right enough at £85. Didn't seem to have stock anywhere else. My local Land Rover dealer had no stock, wanted over £100 and no garuntee as to when he could get stock. I'll try and dig out the Land rover part no.

Depending on how badly it's worn, it can be rejuvenated. Mark the flange and housing so you know where to put it back together. Cut off the housing with a Junior hacksaw just above the flange, cutting only deep enough to break through the plastic before changing the angle of cut. Work all the way around till the two can be separated. You will then be able to see the track and the pick ups. Clean both with some IPA and fine wet and dry. If the track can be smoothed off sufficiently without removing too much, it can be repaired. Clean up the cut surfaces and make a gasket to take up the plastic removed by the sawing. I used an old CD case (about the same thickness), but I expect some cardboard will do the job equally well. Glue the two halves back together, and Robert's your mother's brother !
