A bit late, but it took some time to find a winter run around.

Any top tips on what i should do to put her away for winter?

It was only serviced 2 months ago. Should i give her a good clean and then disconect the battery?

Its cleaned and put in aherm, a dehumidified garage(sad yes I know). Battery disconnected. Brought out every 3 weeks or and warmed but not revved at operating temp for 15min, windows/headlights powered on at same time. I check the tyre pressures every so often as well, and try not leave in same position in garage so as not to flatspot tyres.

If I have not started for 3-4 weeks I take out fuel pump/alternator fuse and turn it over a few times before starting properly.

I'm told I treat it better than the girlfriend...

Tip for extending the battery life, (cos they can deteriorate if left inactive for a few weeks) - use one of those automatic charge systems. The one I have is called AccuMate, just connect it up and leave it until ready to drive - keeps battery conditioned.

Also I reckon best to get the wedge out for a run whenever there is a dry day during the winter months - helps keep everything working i.e. less chance of seizing up.

My thoughts too.

Mine gets to have a nice nap in the garage through the week, then it's hauled out kicking and screaming, to
hurtle up and down a few country lanes, before being
hidden away again.

A great way to charge one's battery, I find.

I had thought about running it through the winter, However I us it for work and back. The salt has started to be put on the roads, I would hate for the chassis to start to disapear. a few months out the way untill the britsh sunshine appears.
