How to get old radio out

need to replace old pioneer face off radio. have been let down twice by well known supplier's mobile service, so don't want to trust them now. is there a door type latch each side holding it in place? the booklet says two spatulas either side are needed,(of course i don't have them) so will 2 knives or similar suffice. thanks bob

You can buy those from Halfords audio section or two very thin blade screw drivers will do it ..

Can't imagine how the audio world ever thought this would stop stereos being stolen !
