Hi all. Malcolm at London Carriage Craft, told me about two years ago he did a blue stained wood veneer. Apparently it was done through TVR Barnet for a customer with a 400/450 Wedge
Would that be any of you guys??
Would like to see a pic of it as i'm considerng the same myself.
Cheers guys

My car has a blue wood dash (where the walnut should be) but I'm almost certain it wasn't done down south in that period of time, possibly further back.
I'll just upload a pic and you can see how it looks.

Maybe not what you were after.
It's been color coded with the exterior by someone. The additions to the body may hint at a 400 but it isn't a genuine one.
Hope this helps, possibly in that you want to stick to the original finish
Cheers.

Aahh, don't be fooled mate. The combination of harsh flash and very shiny, cream trim create the illusion of a clean interior. Under normal daylight condiyions the trim is grimy and I've tried loads of Autoglym to bring it up. Problem is where the dirt hasn't been cleaned off straight away and it's become ingrained. Carpets are newish though.
I suppose the car is getting on and there will be more tired examples out there.
I'm just a bit of a 'clean-freak' as someone called me a long time ago, verging on the Obsessive-compulsive spectrum. Really. Especially this time of year when everything's up to the eyeballs.
Clean my pushbike after every use, even in summer, get the sweat marks off
BTW Graham, O/T with that V^ Cossie in you better see this

Haha - that was fun

Really my car's interior does need a lot of attention.
Everything is there, but just tatty, plus wires all over the place.
It wasn't helped by the local garage who fitted the clutch last year just throwing the inside trim back together.
I guess just as you are a cleanliness freak, then I'm the impatient type who likes to have everything done yesterday. Not really the best temperament for car restoration.

So it's interior re-trim, new seats, re-wire, wheels refurbed and new tyres.
After that, replacement engine and box.

I might even keep it clean then

Looks good Tony which surprises me as I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to interiors. None of that carbon fibre or turned ally for me thanks

The leather cleaner from these guys works wonders www.liquidleather.com/index.htm , cleaned the wedges seats recently and after a few goes the dirt was gone, ingrained as well, the cleaner also softens the seats. They also do dyes to suit all colours and this is also great for touching up scuff marks.

Cheers

Thanks, I may try thos products. I was recommended a prouct called Renaissance which is apparently very good, even on metals. The British Museum are supposed to use it on their collection of furniture and fine art.
One can only try

My light grey interior had a lot of ingrained dirt...found that auto glym interior shampoo stuff and a soft nail brush did the trick....
