Wedge in a Ditch!!
Discussion
Bugger!
Took the near complete but tatty Wedge to my mechanic to remove the body ready to drop on to the racer.
On route the winch strap broke on the trailer and the wheel straps thus eventually worked loose.
Result - Wedge fell off the trailer and ended up on it's side in a ditch. No damage to the ditch hedge or property only the Wedge.
NS wing damage and spoiler ripped off. I guess it saves the mechanic one job.
Moral of the story - use twice as many trailer straps as you think you need!
Question if the car had hit something how does the insurance work? The Wedge didn't have any! thus is it the towcar?

Gutted for you, Tas. I hope not too much damage has been done.
I think the Wedge is considered to be a part of the towing vehicle (even if it did have insurance), so it would be the insurance of the towing vehicle that would be claimed against. Be careful of the plod - you may be liable for driving with an unsafe load.
