I've already spoken to R T Racing but no joy.

Alternatively scrape the old stuff off and stick on that nice shiney heat reflective material as used by the newer cars.

Probably get shot down but mine wasn't on the car when I bought it. I understand that the heat can cause paint problems? But havn't seen any yet.

Yes there is.
We removed the ugly black loose stuff, and renewed it for very thin triplex and the noise and the heat reducing is much better

We just buy very cheap triplex in a local do it your self shop { it cost only 10 pound }saw it a little and glue it with a pasta directly on the polyester.
We haven't got a picture of it, but we are working on it.

I recommend aluminium foiled glass roving , about £20 per metre, you'll need high temp adhesive.

My father (Janneman) asked me (the wizz"kid" of the family) to post some pics of the hood (and some other things.

I saw that the name triplex is not known in English, so I took my dictionary. It says it's plywood. Sounds common now?
We didn't only do the hood, some parts were covered with immitation leather which was dried and craqued.

We replaced it months ago and haven't had any problems *hug a tree* The openings in the hood are still there, so the airflow cools it down too.
The old stuff was heavily damaged because the engine was rubbing against it.

Can you nail it in place, or are self tappers best?
