I have a white 350i which gets discolouration on the rear bodywork caused by the exhaust pipes. This doesn’t come off with normal car shampoo so I’ve previously used neat Mer to get rid of it. I’m not sure if Mer also removes some paint, if so, what product would be able to remove the discolouration wthout taking paint off?

Cheers,
Ian.

We have a couple of marine products to remove the stain and then provide a Teflon(?) protective coating so that it wipes off in the future. Sure you have similar products. Grady

Yes,
I use mr Muscle kitchen cleaner. Spray it all over, and watch the stain run off. Been using for a couple of years with no bad effect on the paintwork.
