Finally getting round to spray the nose cone and nearly getting there with the undercoat / filler etc to get a nice smooth finish for top coat
My problem is sourcing the paint the final coat
Are there any other blue cars out there had any paint work done and know the correct colour - See profile if not sure about my car. Must have been about 3 or 4 at BBW last year
My paint code is P422 0996 on the badge and it looks fairly original as in places gone back to fibre glass and can see the various layers.
I've been told it cold be any of the following
Agean
Azure
Amparo
Calypso

Of the 4 colours quoted only Azure appears on the Nexa (was ICI) Autocolour site under TVR Blue 1998 - 1990
Have you got the paint codes numbers correct ?
Azure is P422-9006B
You can search for paint codes on the Nexa site.
Go to TVR - Blue - Check on colur name - 2k - and the paint mix / code will appear.
It's easier if you have a PA number e.g Starfire mica is PA14B which translates into a P422 - xyz code

What is the paint site you are referring to as I can not find on the web, only a PPG site that seems to require passwords etc
Cheers
Paul
Paul,
ICI sold Autocolour to Nexa The site is -
www.ppg.com/nexaautocolor/index.html
- Technical
- On line colour
* you will be asked for a password - registar by giving your name or something appropriate as 'company' and you will receive a password by return.
- on line colour
- manufacturer
- etc
- there are several ways to seasrch bit tricky but it works
e-mail me if you need more detail

It looks very similar to mine (which also needs a freshen up). When I bought it I was told that it was a Lotus colour. Not sure if this will help any, but got to be worth a try
Devonian what is the paint code for yours on the engine plate ?
Anyone know if they put the colour anywhere else on the wedges as a reminder ?
Calling TVR tomorrow and maybe they can decipher it as ICI Nexus do not understand the code

Hi, I'm a bit late to this thread. How did you get on? I resprayed the front of my 350i last year and spoke to the factory re: paint codes; they were very helpful and had complete records. I can look up the details if you like.
