I should be going if the weather is ok. Will be meeting V8 Archie at Thurrock Services at 11am, so if anybody wants to join us, you are more than welcome.

Wedge engine change...that takes about an hour and a half, c'mon G you gotta make the grid one way or t'other.

If you need an extra pair of hands in the paddock let me know, cos I've got nothing to do other than oggle race cars and wish I was in one of them. Oooooh the pain!

Spent all day and night on the Tuscan today ( mmm i must do some work some time) sounds much better. going to stake out the local r/road tomorrow morning untill they can get her on. we'll make a decision after that.

if its no go we'll try and swap the taz's buggered motor for a spare.

Either way we'll be working right up to qually and race on saturday so bring yer overalls and spanners all, we'll need help....

G

p.s. If we do get the Tuscan running i dont think i'll be able to push that hard, as so far ive drive it a total of 150ft.... but then you never know G....

Graham, We're planning on coming down Saturday morning, but if you really do need help on the Wedge engine swap right up to the last minuite, i'm sure we could try and make it friday evening with overalls tools and bits! You've got contact details.

I think I've decided to take the Tuscan. The wedge needs a diff change as well as engine. I've got an engine but not a suitable diff

The Tuscan is still massivly under fueling 120bhp at the wheels anyone !!!!! but i've got a few tricks left

so we'll give it a go... Still a million and one small jobs to do !!!!

What ratio? i've got a 3.07 open diff ( much too high) and a 3.54 powerlocker... the powerlocker makes the car almost undrivable.

the diff was what made the change last year.. even with the wrong ratio it was so much better. i put the powerlocker back in for the birkett, as the high diff makes it very difficult to overtake... and in the 3 laps before the engine blew i couldnt believe how hard the thing was to keep on the track, so im after a 3.54 open for her, and when funds allow i'll stick a quaife in

cheers

Some good racing today..!

Graham...what happened on Paddock hill bend.. We heard the commentary...and saw the dust plume.

Who's was the red 280FHC? Very nice..! I was there in my white 400. We were the only 2 wedges....the rest were Griffs, Chimps etc..

Good day though...

I made it as far as the car park only to be told that the dog could not come in.
I'm sure they used to be allowed in. Thought about leaving her in the car in overflow carpark but would probably get arrested by animal rights lovers - I would have left the roof off, but she would probably eat the leather seats if my shoes are anything to go by.
