hi, my 1985 'c' reg. has its rear wheels facing outwards! just bought it and someone is going to have a look at it on saturday.it would help me if someone could tell me why the rear wheels, both of them are facing outwards! very lethal to drive at the moment.this is my second fhc and underneath the car nothing seems unbecoming.nothing appears bent and i understand you cannot do much adjustment.if anyone has had this sort of experience i would be very grateful for some advice!
thanks alex

Out of interest what colour is it? I had a white one with a claret full leather interior.
I suppose that the trailing arms should be checked very carefully. What condition are the bushes in?

Yep, it does sound like the trailing arm bushes have collapsed. Slight pain in the parts, but nothing that can't be fixed.

In that case it's worth going for poly bushes to get a bit more life.

19560,
I saw a 350i FHC - white with red hide interior on the NU salvage site about 6 months ago - it had a smacked front end - sold for £500 - sorry for the bad news

I believe Tower View racing do a trailing arm upgrade, to stiffen up the rear suspension.
