So that's what all the noise was - sounds like you went right past my house! I only have a 280i (I'm hoping one day it will grow up into a SEAC), and it's been in the garage for a while, but I'm getting it back on Tuesday, so I might toddle over to the Royal Oak in a couple of weeks time too (weather and wedge permitting!)

So - what is the new BP fuel?

There is a thread on here somewhere that says the Shell Optimax fuel is (octane wise) best. I usually fill up at a BP station, but haven't noticed any new fuel as yet.

Plonked a bottle of lead enricher/octane enhancer in the tank yesterday - I'll see how it goes. Expensive at about £6 a go!

BP version called Ultima competition to Optimax i suppose on my daily travels around the country about 2 in 5 BP garages now stock look for BLUE nozzle on pump I can see the Wedge getting a tankfull of diesel one day as we run 3 diesel vechicles in the household had a tankfull of contaminated fuel (Water) some years ago in a 2.8i ford not recommended.
