The waiting is over at last !
Discussion
At last : Austec have finished my SEAC .. picking it up on Saturday.
Can't wait.. has this been the longest wait ever..
I'm going to have to get the G/F to drive it as I've been biting my nails .. and I've chewed up to the elbows...
Anyone else had a long wait for a garage to finish their car ?

Thanks guys .. you really miss them while they are away. Hopefully the wait and money spent will be worth it.
RedCar - yes - might see you there on Sat - I'm planning on being there sometime after 10.
They are going to put it on the rollers for me and I'm going to take a short film... to be posted later.

How does 50 weeks grab you!
It's unfair suggesting Tower View had it that long but that was the time between blowing up the engine and getting it back on the road. Five months of saving up for the new John Eales engine and the quoted fitting costs then approx 1.5 months for the engine to be built and delivered to Tower View then the rest of the time having it fitted .....(loads of issues going to Serpentine from pre-serp and injection to carbs), bonnet modified, exhaust done etc.
I bet you I enjoyed my first drive after that wait more than you did yours

Eighteen months for the full body off restoration on mine!
When it went in for the work it was simply a sports car with character. I went way through simply missing it. By the time I got it back, it had become one with my life and we shall never be parted

Dropped the 420 into TvrBodyshop 19th January for fibreglass makeover, full respray, wheel refurbish, service, MOT, make it as waterproof as possible (ha). Phoned them earlier this week - more work on the fibreglass needed than we thought (eek), fibreglass done, curing for 2 weeks then respray etc. I told them there was no rush so I'm not moaning. So I guess it'll have been gone 3 months before I get it back. Wasn't missing it much when the frosts were here but it's a nice day today....
Been without mine since November, but only have myself to blame as I am doing the work. New outriggers and body mountings now finished. Off to Jag do at Stonleigh on Sunday to get a load of rear brake bits. Then just need to refit all the interior put sills back on MOT and we're off, hopefully.
Excellent news Rev - look forward to seeing/hearing the finished product... not sure I want to reflect on how long I have lived without the 400 but 5 months last year, 8 months the year before... and other other months of being without inbetween (lost count) - in the 4 years of ownership I think Peninsula have had the car more than me! Here endeth the rant..

Well, mine's with Moore Racing at the moment, having some ...ahem... minor work done to it - they've only had it 2 weeks and I get twitchy every time the sun comes out! Luckily there's not much chance of that over the next few days - one time I'm actually happy it's going to rain.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of the bigger wedges and meeting some people at the BBWF - I just hope mine is back by then!
