Feckin' Electrical Gremlins
Discussion
Its MOT Time, and guess what .. the Wedge electrics decide to start playing up.
Last year I was charged for replacement bulbs on the Pre-MOT inspection, and when I actually realised, it was too late, I have paid for the MOT, and left the premises.
This Year, There has been no problems until last week, when I discover that the Indicators have a mind of their own again, and are refusing to work properly.

The poor little dear has obviously got scared at the thought of some clumsy bod getting his grubby hands on her at MOT What's up with them then?

I blaime all that Welsh water getting into the electrics..
No welsh water on my electrics ... the car has spent the winter ina warm dry heated garage, with a nice duvet cover ofer the paintwork.
Luxury ... when I were a lad .. car's lived in the road and garages were full of stuff

Well, after a brief session with a can of WD-40, all my electical gremlins were eliminated.
Saturday morning saw the dropoff of the Wicked Wedge at Peninsula, and I blagged the Keys to a nice new Elise R thing for a test.
The elise was different (red lining at almost 9,000 rpm, and not comming on song until 6000+rpm, it was certainly different).
Upon my return, I chatted to Richard as he was rebuilding an engine and it was decided that due to the excess oil consumption of my new engine, and the fact that it appeared to be considderably down on power, that he should keep the car and investigate the oil consumption
I returned home, and now await news of the engine. Hopefully to get it back intime to put some mileage on it before Le-Mans 2004

Oh no .. not another wedge stuck at Peninsular for months..
Did you see Seamus'ss blue 400SE when you were there ?
He'd have a job - it's home.... but give it another week.. awaiting collection again.........
Excellent stuff. Mine will probably be there for a few weeks, I have just removed the seats and the door cards, to get them back to the trimmers for some alterations.
I have decided to colour the inserts in the doors Blue to match the rollbar and the interiour.
