it will restart but only after its been standing for about 10 mins. then it will cut out again after aprox 5 mins and will not restart at all!!
the ecu has been repaired and the ignition amp on the dizzy has been replaced and so has the ignition coil!!

Tricky - sounds like something is getting hot and bothered and packing in as a result. Think I'd start with the ignition leads, especially the coil/dizzy, to make sure you haven't got insulation breaking down when hot (have a look under the bonnet when its dark and watch for sparks!), followed by fuel pressure and make sure the pump is working when it wont start. If no luck its probably worth working your way through any earths you can find, again to make sure they are good when hot. Also might be worth checking any immobiliser you might have, I had an intermittent cut out a few years ago caused by a loose earth on the immobiliser.
Hope this helps.
