Anyone know from which car the ashtray is originally from, or where I can get a new one, in chrome would be nice or is that just too trivial?
And whilst I'm being trivial, how do you stop your sun visor from flapping down at anything over 60mph or is it just mine that does it?

Taff - on the sun visor front, I put self-adhesive velco (loops) on the upper side of the visor and (hooks) on the underside of the windscreen surround. Works a treat - Streaky

Chrome/stainless steel ashtrays and other spiffing accessories can be got from Leven Technology I think - go to Links on the navigation bar above.

I dont think Leven do ashtrays for the Wedge, this is probably the item people would most like to replace and nobody does a replacement yet as far as I know. A nice polished alloyone to complement all the other shiney bits available would be nice!

You're right Andy - nice shiny aluminium ashtray by Leven - but not for Wedges!

Recently bought a replacement from one of TVR parts source here in the states. It was black metal on black metal...

However when I pressed it into place, the plastic thingy (lid track) snapped in two places. I use it without the lid, better than the gaping hole!

Don't know if it was old and weak or a repo and weak but use caution in fitting. Grady

Taff, had the same problem since I bought my wedge 12 years ago. Been trying ever since to find a matching ashtray for the one I have. I now have a collection of about half a dozen......none of which match the one I have!!!

You could, of course, always do away with the ashtrays altogether... and the fag lighter, while you're at it!

A nice starter button would look better where the faf lighter is...

Mine's been missing for ages too, so I found 3 smint containers fitted in and you can hide the odd bolt / screw that falls of underneath. Would also love a shiny one to match other shiny bits.
Having trouble finding shiny lighter too that fits, as the Ripspeed one does not ! any one else sourced one ?

If I got rid of the ashtray, where would I put the pieces of paper that I stuff between the door and window to stop it rattling?
I like the idea of the spray paint, but the ashtray is broken so could really do with a new one.
Will just have to wait until Karl starts to make them, could be a while yet!

For the sun visors:

Undo one bracket which is simply one nut and screw, wind a few turns of insulation tape around the pointy bits and re-fit. Kept my S's and SEAC visors ok for many years
