Help!! need to sort out a door lock key or even new locks and keys for my 350i because original has been lost.I phoned the tvr factory today but they said that they dont have records for a 1985 car.Anyone know who has the necessary records or where I can source new locks from? Are they mk4 cortina locks?

They were used on most ford cars in the 70's including:
Mk2 escort
Mk 3 Cortina
Mk 2 Capri
Granada
Consul

Cant help with the question but would like to welcome you to the forum
Automatic Wedge eh. Thats a rare beasty.
In case you havent seen it yet take a look at the thread at the top of the page entitled "national Wedge Meeting" Its totally unoficial and probably the largest gathering of Wedges ever. And i doubt if it will ever be beaten! So come along and be part of it

Cant speak for the locks on the Wedge never having had a problem with mine but if there is a number stamped on the back of the lock a specialist key maker should be able to cut a key to match. I did this once on a Fiesta, took the lock in , key cut no problem.

@dickymint thanks for the welcome and yes car is automatic and built at factory like it! Would like to find out more about the car so will be looking for a tvr historian sometime in the future if there is one?Not sure about the meet yet though cos early tvr days and wife still hasnt got over the shock of me buying it yet!

Try contacting the Capri owners club for a list of suppliers or, check out you nearest autojumble as there bound to be a few knocking around. I tend to wait until the end of May for the Enfield Auto pagent where there's a massive selction of bits and pieces for ageing TVRs

Welcome.
Capri is the source - try your local Ford dealer - Circa £40 for the full set (Both doors) or try Peninsula/Tower View.

I removed one door handle and lock, took it to the local key bar and the guy sorted 2 keys out the same day for £6! So that was a result. There are no numbers on the locks though.
