I stupidly managed to smash the glass this morning.

Hi Adam.
I'm 95% sure my spare is drivers side.
Give me a call about 2 ish and I'll check if you can't get hold of one.
You have been to mine before so you know how far it is.
Leigh
Ideally I'd like it replaced at some point if you want it today.
It's got good runners on it also so a direct swap.

Cheers Leigh.

DG have sold their parts business to TVR parts so no stock.

I did it because I didn't wind the window down fully when closing the hood, and I thought I had the door open. D'oh!

TVR car parts have none.

Leigh YHM.

Who is out there breaking wedges these days? Does Mole Valley still do stuff?

Adam, it looks like you might need to buy and store a cheap Wedge in the garden for spares. It would be good for these unforeseen eventualities ;-)

ps. I have some bicycle inner tubes you can have to fix in the new glass when you manage to get hold of one.

TVR Parts have got all of the David Gerald parts but they haven't as yet sorted them out. When I spoke to them the other week they said that although the parts as yet are not listed if we need anything then they could have a trawl through the pallets to see if they could spot the necessary part. Might well be worth giving them a try.

Good luck.

Adam, you'll have to get rid of the Rovers first smile.

Or....You could get shelving and stack the cars rather like they have in breakers yards. That way you could keep them all for a rainy day biggrin

Good idea - then I can fit even more in!

Well TVR car parts have none but will look at the glass manufacturers and get back.

Plan A is to nick one off the other car and stick in a perspex window I made many years ago.
Then I can wait till something comes up at breakers or someone scrapping a car.

One of the recent wedge fests had a guy from PH doing windscreen replacements and I seem to remember that he had some side window glass made up.

Anyone remember his name or keep his card ?

I thought his handle was something like glassman but Alan's research turns out to impeccable and he has stock of the drivers side and at a reasonable price.

So I should be re-windowed sometime next week. I shall have to hunt out the bicycle inner tube - I'm sure there's some lurking somewhere.
