Shocked when I heard the news this morning Zig's dead.

Relieved when I found out it was 'only' David Bowie, and not our Mark.

RIP Starman.

Thanks Steve...Yeah sad news mate...I actually met David and one of the band at a private Christmas dinner at one of my mums friends houses..I was only 7 years old but still remember it like it was yesterday...My mums friends sister used to make his clothes in the "Ziggy" days...He popped by to say hello as he was in the area..While he was there he brought out an acoustic guitar and he started strumming and was singing Gene genie..Only a few bars mind...

I remember him wearing a multicoloured jumpsuit with ginger spiked hair but what struck me was those really weird eyes that had me memorised as a child...
R.I.P "Ziggy"........Ziga jnr

Just spoke to me ole mum and she said it was 1972 so i was 9 when we met him..Makes sense....Thanks mum...

Not so hasty ref - he did used to wear platforms - and I've seen him in a wedge!

I can only say "Sh*t"......Now I feel REALLY REALLY old.... I bet I'm not the only one to remember the concerts.

A Man who truly did leave a lasting legacy.

Cancer has no respect of who you are, your age or your wealth.. Truly saddening news, but David Jones certainly fitted an awful lot into his 69 years.

It's not how long we are here for that's so important, it's what you do in between.. Life is short. RIP David Bowie.
