Dear experts.

I have a question about putting a newer engine in a 3000M chassis.
I can buy for easy money a Ford BOB engine (V6 Cosworth). Also I can buy a Ford MT75 manual V6 gearbox including the driveshaft, flywheel and pressure plate.

Question: did someone allready do this conversion?

ECU will be a DTA, Megasquirt or VEMS.

Hi...They have been fitted to Wedge chassis but the 3000M is very different...Here is where you need to be....The "Classics" is better for you.

Happy new year....Ziga

No help really but.. I nearly had a BOB v6 fitted into my 280i wedge, just unfortunate the heads were too far gone for the project to be feasable.

however, I had the impression it would fit in without chassis mods etc.. the only issue being the standard BOB exhaust manifold were to wide to fit and slimline ones would be required.

Has been a while since i've thought about it though so dont quote me on it wink

The BOA's a better choice of engine imo. I've fitted them into an 'S' before and have a cast iron header solution (boa/bob) if you don't want to fabricate tubulers which would be nigh on impossible.

Hi , I suggested that He ask on here for pointers on engine/gearbox/ecu combinations , as the wedge racers had a lot of engine conversions.
I have pictures of the engine in a 3000m chassis somewhere with custom headers , I also have a wedge with a BOA engine with T5 gearbox . Pics to follow when I can make them small enough to post
Cheers
