Hi all,

Just had all new brake lines made for the car, given copper is illegal here (too soft). I want to fit what I can before I put the body back on, while access is easy.

I've fitted the fronts but re the rears, I swear I took some photos of the rear of the car with body off but I can't locate them now, 15 months later...

Does anyone have photos of how the rear brake hydraulic circuit looks, in particular:

1. Where the flexible hose attaches (there's a bracket on the chassis but I have another attached to one end of the flexi hose....
2. the feed to the offside rear caliper and
3. how the line runs along the chassis
4. how the handbrake cable runs

The Wedge bible has one factory diagram but not a good one. searches of old posts again not that helpful.

Any info would be much appreciated, cheers Toby.

(info) Pure copper brake pipes are banned here in New Zealand too, but apparently it's because it has a tendency to crack/break on the flares.
Kunifer is allowed though. It's a copper alloy, which is a bit darker to look at, and doesn't rust.

Copper and aluminium 'work harden' which is why copper rivets get annealed before use)

Maybe these will help a little but I don't have any pictures of the brake lines actually on the car. Cheers Steve

Thx Steve, yes it does. It confirms where that second bracket goes - on the diff hanger bolt.

My new lines are made of "Bundy" WTH that is.. nothing to do with Queensland rum I hope! Silver in colour and almost impossible to kink.

Also if you're rebuilding, I put a couple of springs along the handbrake cable to ensure the levers fully return and less chance of dragging.
Just ordinary springs to push the levers apart as much as poss.
As the auto adjust is also a ratchet arrangement I think they help that work as well.
