I seem to be full of questions at the moment!!!

So I am stripping out the Halfords bits in my car to try and get a little nearer to original. The steering wheel has to go. What sizes am I the hunt for, boss sizes, wheel sizes. Can I fit alloy stalks easily?

General pointers really.

Thanks guys

Andy

Hi mate

Originally the steering wheels were Momo or Personal, Mountney fit also..I have a Chimaera steering wheel in mine...I doubt if there are any aftermarket alloy stalks that can be retro fitted...I had a set made for the 280i but that was a special custom made part...A one off...
The steering wheel boss depend on the steering column...

You'll be wanting a Momo wheel then, and no alloy stalks, back to the SD1 stalks.

Yes, but you've got non-original air in the tyres, so that halves the valuebiggrin

ZZ - your dash looks great.

The VDOs were on the US 280i throughout the run, up to the last few 1987 cars. I never saw the TVR reverse sweep gauges on any up to 87. My 88 SEAC has metric VDO gauges and I'm eager to get the TVR logo, non-metric set someday. Swaps considered - its the 4-clock-in-the-center variant although I'd be happy with just swapping the 2 big ones.
