Good morning all
Can anyone recall how to remove the centre section of the transmission tunnel.
I am removing the gearbox and need to access the gear lever to remove.
It's a 350 series 2
At the moment all I can see inside are two small Phillips screw heads towards the footwell on either side of the tunnel.?
Also does the gear lever screw out from above once this lot is off ?
As usual any ideas would be greatly received.
All the best

Hi mate...There are the two screws that you can see on the sides of the tunnel cover..Then there are two under the small centre console which will need to come off...Well the top part anyways...Then there is one or two in the tray are of the tunnel cover under the removable insert....Not sure about the actual gear stick though...Hope this helps...Cheers...Ziga

You'll need to remove the trimmed cover around the heater controls first, then there's a couple of screws that hold the heater control panel down that also need to come out.

I get the feeling that TVR made it up as they went along so just feel your way carefully and remove anything that's getting strained. The gear lever itself is pretty obvious when you get it exposed; just be prepared for springs/plungers flying out when you pull it out of the gearbox; wrap a rag around it. An SD1 manual helps.

I always remove the engine and gearbox together, it's pretty straightforward if you have a hoist and load leveller.

I don't think I bother with that and just drop the box down - you need to remove the gear knob of course but that just unscrews.
