K&N 33-2013 Air Filter

Hi guys, im after abit of knowledge, do the TVR S1 & Wedge share the same air filter?
I looked at an underbonnet picture of the wedge on google & the airfilter box looked identical to mine on the S1..
Im only asking as i tried a capri K&N '33-2001' for my S an it was nowhere near the same size.. I have the original airfilter on my car but wanted to try out a K&N, so any help would be appreciated.

I made the same mistake with my Wedge. The first one is as you say obviously wrong. I bought the one in the ebay link and it fits perfectly.

yeah I only got the top one because someone on the S forum said Capri, was nowhere near the same size.

So the eBay link is the correct one after all as I thought, just a quick question, theres 20% more air intake or something along those lines, did you find it effected the fuel mixture at all?

Hi mate...If its MFI K-Jetronic then i doubt if there will be a noticeable difference as you are lifting the plate in the metering head which is supplying more fuel...A supercharger however would need a custom built WUR to cope with the massive increase in air intake....Best to get a CO meter on it really...

Zigs right. I never noticed a difference, when i first put it in i thought it felt sharper if you see what i mean. But in hindsight that was probably all in my head.

thanks for the replies guys, I was just paranoid it might f up my mixture.. Already went through the palava of a split in my air flow meter cap sending it way out.

Hmm interesting, they recon it promotes an extra 5bhp but maybe that's just a sales gimmick, nevertheless i will give one a go next time I treat the ol TVR. Cheers.

I just put a K&N 33-2013 in my car to replace the Halfords one that was in there. Photos of the old filter and my air box are in this album for comparison. (I didn't photo the new filter; if anybody wants a shot of that then let me know). Same price on amazon, in case you'd prefer to buy it there.

Ah thanks for that just double checked the airbox, the wedge an s1 do indeed share the same one.
I think I'll deffo upgrade the old paper one in mine
