Right lads, anything else i might need to buy that will probably be a good idea to replace when i take the engine and box out?

I've got up to now a bottom end gasket set, remote bushes for the box, new clutch kit, new engine mounts and new gearbox mounts. Anything else you can think of?

Sounds good as a start point ... i would take the opportunity to replace the release bearing with a decent metal one rather than the cheap plastic ones and do the clutch fork strengthening mod while you are there.

This was mine (not that pretty) on the Gredge but gives an idea, they either puncture through or snap:

I expect you'll be taking the exhaust off, you need a set of replacement gaskets...

Rear gearbox oil seal. Check the crank bearing that the gearbox shaft runs in..

Engineering illegitimate here lads, but are the crank shaft seals in the bottom end gasket set? It looks like it is, a large round rubber seal?

Also chris where will i get a clutch release fork from? Or should i just weld a small plate like you have done?

Had a look on the flea and found this, any idea if it will fit looks alot stronger than the usual one? But aint got the pins in the fork which dont look too promising.

The clutch release arm pushing through on the pivot point is a common thing on the land rovers as the 2.5td and 200 / 300 tdi also used the LT77 gearbox.
The release arm on those is different to the TVR one which has the 2 indentations on the side face. Don't know what the original one came off
Welding the plate over is the common method of strengthening the lever, if yours is okay then i'd just do that and spray it up after.
