Just in case any of you were interested in this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-TVR-350i-Wedge-C...

Its done a lot more miles than showing - check out the MOT at the bottom showing 120K

http://www.ukvehicle.com/B868EJB/

Still could be a really nice project for someone?

I think someone has misread it at some point from the MOT and now thinks the mileage is 17K instead of 170K...Big difference...Lovely pic of the Alps though...Where were you when i was asking for calendar pics....I think the flame trap hose might be causing an issue ...Say's it bangs...Its a TVR......smile

Actually it could also be that the MOT station got it wrong and it should have been 12,009 miles in 08? Only making people!

Going to follow it on ebay. Classic cars have gone mental again and I just dont understand why the wedge has not followed the trend.

This is currently at £1500 and is only slightly higher than the price of a Peroni!!!!!

I've got a series 1 here chassis #DH5617RI. 1983/84. Think the DH stands for drop head the 617 is the production number and the RI is rover injection. Might have got it wrong like.

Lovely car mate! From the info I have its are Tasmin 350i DH no.30 ish - cant be sure yet as I have a lot of gaps still between yours and number one which could be any trim of wedge, 200, 280, 350 in DH or FH or +2 configuration! Hope thats of interest for you. As I say its just a rough indication, and it can only be a number that goes up! When I started it looked as if mine was No.8 but now looks like 11! hahaha

Re gold 350i on flea bay

I owned this car for 20 yrs up to may last year to see it like this is heartbreaking
It has a 3.9 nck running on a holley carb which was totally rebuilt by v8 dev last February I did a thousand miles and stupidly sold it.
I spent in the region of 7 grand on this car a lot of work done at rt racing new outriggers recon box adjustable shocks recon rack the list goes on
When I sold it the genuine mileage was117000 mls

If anybody on here wants more info contact me through my profile as I would like to see it have a good home and yes you can have all the spares in my garage as well

Hi mate...I have Poppy now and it was Delilah who has gone...."Delilah were are you"...cry...Hindsight is a wonderful thing and yes i would of loved to of owned it...A gold car is not everyones thing but "Gold" is the god of bling...Not that I'm a flash kind of person or even wear a lot of gold...In fact only my Grandfathers wedding ring...But a Gold Wedge...Wow....I hope it goes to a good home...Preferably someone with a garage....I still think its too nice to park on the street...

Cheers....Ziga

Spot on smile People often misquote the FI on the 2.8s as F1 (including one of the cars on Ebay at the moment).... it stood for Fuel Injection. RI was introduced to distinguish the V8 from the V6.

If i had more space and money i would be very tempted, i remember this car at a BBWF it looked fantastic, i love its Gold colour with matching alloys and all that v8 power with an early Tasmin look and nice all leather interior, still looks lovely in the pictures all it needs is a good wash, new hood and engine tinkering.

Just shows what a years worth of abuse does to these cars...I know i keep Poppy outside but she has 3 x covers on and a paranoid owner who puts the bins out to secure the space for her if i go out anywhere...(God forbid anyone touching them..And they know it)..I watch anyone who parks near her and have had to go out there a few times to confront arshmoles who feel its their right to use her as a parking bumper...After a public dressing down they do not park there again!.

After all said and done its a rare classic hand built British sports car the deserves some respect...Not a tin top bread bin from a converted sardine factory that deserves to be binned and the owner given a slap for the shear audacity of owning such a pile of junk ...Let alone flaunting it on British roads...smile
