Heading back from Banbury towards London last night on the A40,(daylight around 8ish) followed a trailer carrying a beautiful burgundy coloured 430se.
Don't think it was a breakdown recovery, if anything, the car looked like it was being returned from a paint shop.
An absolute beauty.
Not a fan of that colour on any vehicle normally (sorry Chris) but that worked for me !!!
Anyone on here (number plate had been removed) can't be many 430's .

That sounds like Bob Meier's car, as it's recently been the subject of a body and chassis restoration.

I recall seeing a beige (very pale brown more like a Digestive) coloured 430SE at Doms a few years back.
Looked stunning. Owner hadn't paid the bill and Dom was contemplating selling it but think he came to collect in the end.

Hi

I think the other 430SE was a green colour and the last time I saw it was back in 2002

So now we have...

1 = Ruby mica red
2 = White
3 = Blue
4 = Green
5 = Biscuit

?....So the blue could be green...The white could be cream or biscuit......confused

Hoping to pick the car up from Str8six in 10 days time. Had chassis done, exhaust, roof, carpets, respray in same colour, and changed interior leather plus many minor bits and pieces. Should look like new. Can't wait. See you at Wedgefest

Make sure you're sitting down when he gives you the bill. High figures can cause dizziness biggrin

Just back from hol in Mexico, expecting to pick up car yesterday. Wheel refurb has been left until last minute, so it's not ready. More delays. Apparently difficult to find someone to do it. May not now be ready for Wedgefest. What happened to planning ahead. This should have been done by now. Depressed and angry! May see you next month or not

Can I suggest you go over the car with a fine tooth comb and get a detailed breakdown of items done and changed

Just for peace of mind and record of course ....

I would drive it on the current wheels rather than missing bBWF - then get them refurbed during the winter.

Definitely...You could just clean them...I have called Lepsons to see if they refurb split rims but they don't ..However they gave me a number to a place called "South east alloys" that do, I have never used them or know anyone who has but it might be worth a call...

His name is Eddie on 07970 684502

Cheers

Don't let a set of wheels spoil your weekend...A buffing wheel on a drill with some auto-sol or similar will sort them out for now...

These guys can do them...They are actually doing a set as we speak..However the lead time on them is 6 weeks and they are around £230 each....
http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/

We want to see your beautiful rare beastie at this years fest and if anyone...And i mean anyone comments negatively on your wheels then they will be quietly escorted from the premises and banned from any forthcoming events....smile
