Hi Paul...Do you have anymore history on it?...Maybe it sat around for a while or could of been used by staff at the factory....Or no-one wanted to drive it being No.13.....
...
I don't but was told there were a number of dealer cars built in 1980 and registered much later.

Ah yes, I remember seeing these two Wedges in Rushden when you brought them up there. I thought I'd seen them together somewhere. It was a nice day that year and I think you were doing some work on one of them. I always learn something new about Wedges everytime I see you Andy, and that was the year I learned that the early Wedges didn't have wrap round bumpers on the rear.Tony. TCB.
Tony...Just for the record..... No.1 did not belong to Andy and in fact he would not of owned No.2 if it wasn't for me and Mark Steele...I found No.2 after a tip off that no-one else bothered to chase up.
Once i had located the car i then rented a garage purely to keep No.2 in where myself and Mark were going to restore it back to original condition, Sadly circumstances changed for Mark and we decided to sell it.
I had a buyer in Switzerland who offered me twice the amount of money that it was sold to Andy for and the only reason this was decided was because i personally did not want to see it go abroad and we knew that Andy with his passion and determination would of restored No.2 back to its original condition...Unfortunately this didn't happen and No.2 was sold.
The new owner Duncan is also a man of passion and will restore the car accordingly.

Well done Mark. You deserve a reward for that.

Its not about getting rewards mate as said we could of got double the money we did...Its about saving a piece of our heritage...I know i love a bit of bling but cars of this calibre are too important to bling up, They need to be shown in their true form....Tony. TCB.
Thanks anyway...

That's a really lovely idea Tony. What form do you think it should take? You could present it at the TopCats part of the BBWF. I know Mark is far too modest and self-effacing for something like that, and fortunately avoids the self-importance trap that it is easy to fall into. Perhaps you could raise the idea on the TVRCC forum as well? Tony. TCB.

Hi Paul - see if you can bring it to the fest, it would be great to see it parked up next to 1+2
Howard,It hasn't moved for about 7 years but isn't in bad nick externally, not so good internally.
Be good to hear how many of the first 25 are left, but sounds like there are a good few out there.

If you are coming down to Topcats on 9th July you should try out the Elephant for size and get yourself back into wedge mode!
You know it makes sense

At what number did the production wedges start? FFG
I am about to start putting 5028 back on the road, its also red with the black vinyl and biscuit moquette interior that seems to have been used on the cars that were made for dealer stock rather than customer order....
