The first early fhc 280i's were around £12,000 when they first came out in 1980.

Thanks. How did that relate to other cars at the time?

Any idea how much a 400se was?

I have an official document from October 1988 British Motor Show Stand 320, stating the new 1989 400SE Convertible will be priced at £24,995.00

List on mine in 1987 was £21K IIRC; with the PAS etc. it'd have been £23K.

Mine has air conditioning and headlight washers (and PAS). Wonder how much all that cost?

Looks a bit like a restaurant menu... Can I go through the wine list with you?

The US 280 was originally marketed as a sub 20K car.
So on the window sticker it was 19K plus
Then it listed electric windows as an optional extra...putting the price over 20K.

Still looking for a Wedge with manual windowssmile

That is a pre tax price, sales tax is added to that at whatever that particular State rate is.

Back on the 1st July 1989 my 350i was purchased by its first owner for £22071.31.
This included the leather option.
The 450SE boot spoiler was retro fitted about a month later for £200.50
Interesting!
