After 20+ years of sitting in a garage, my Tasmin 280 FHC needs an oil change, intend to put a 20/50 in it .
Is this the sort I best be using?

Yes that's the "Stuff" Always use 20W50 on mine straight from its rebuild. Old design engines, generous oilways and splash feed lubrication to various components. J C.

Or if you want the good stuff then Valvoline VR1
