Back in a Wedge
Discussion
After a 7 year gap, I am happily back in a Wedge, having purchased ‘another’ 400SE
My last Wedge was a 420 SEAC, & a 450 SEAC previous to that.
I’m sure there’s plenty I’ve forgotten, but I know all the answers will be here, as they always have been.
Pleased with this one though, gets delivered next week from those lovely guys at Amore

Is that Steve (Gandalf's) old 400?
Thanks Wyn, I was looking at a Griff, but the pull to the dark-side got me again! Is that Steve (Gandalf's) old 400?

I think that belonged to Chris aka Jack Valiant some years back, ( i might be wrong) ..he did say he would buy it back if it ever came up for sale but have not spoke to him for a few years now, shame as he is a decent honest chap.
I remember the name Mark.. I’ll check the service history when the cars delivered next week Wendy (350i) makes the 190bhp TVR claimed it would and is plenty peppy enough. Having done a number of trackdays actually I prefer touring in her. Nice torque across the board and not too thirsty.
Now, I'm not convinced the larger capacities gave the step ups in performance that TVR claim - Wendy has a number of mods.
That said, I have been back to back in a Grief 400 and 500 on track and the torque leap is ridiculous. So I suspect the low down grunt increase of the larger capacities certainly make them feel more urgent.
A lowly 3.6 Tam trounces them all though.
