Hi,

I bought Delilah (mr ZigaZaga's old car) and having lots of fun in it and will be able to hear again soon.

I also have an 84 350i wedge-- stomboli rouge (wine coloured to you and me) which has all new front springs/shocks, new front big brake calipers and vented discs, new water pump, twin fans etc recently fitted in last 3 months (before buying delilah) --- all elecs work etc - straight car. roof is good - overall it is slightly tatty.
No MOT and SORN'ed

Money is tight and i dont want to spend ~500 quid on bushes, roll bars etc and such to get it through MOT unless it is worth it and i could reasonably expect to get it back.

What do folks here think it is worth as it stands now VS if the work was done and MOT'ed , Taxed etc

cheers

My advice is to stick it in for the MOT for the princely sum of £40 (if you shop around).

This will give you a list of what needs sorting out, and you can then put together a shopping list of parts and cost it up, leaving out the roll cage of course.

Then the sums become much easier.

Definitely go for the MOT, even if you don't want to lay out the cash to get any work done you can at least show a prospective buyer " it only failed on this and that"?

Unless of course it fails horrendously in which case destroy any evidence and deny all knowledge wink
