all......I know the 14" and 15" lattice wheels have different size diameter caps

Below are my 15" ones (looks like 68m to me and is the M-141 code).......but does anyone know the diameter for the 14" wheels (the M-140 code).......I recall its smaller but want to know the measurement

Just measured one from my 280, there is no code embossed on it, but the diameter is 73mm, so larger rather than smaller!

I might have a spare 14" centre cap (from the spare set of 14" wheels I have stacked up doing nothing). PM me if you want it/them.

as the centre cap debate is flowing I'll conclude my finding on trying to use the metal BMW caps

The metal caps on the left are from a BMW 2002 / E21 and E30. These are too small by a good 1cm so no good

The other ones, same metal design with sprung steel clips to hold in place are just too big and I mean JUST, that just sit on the hole vs sliding in and locating :-(

I then found out the 14" wheels have a slightly bigger hole vs the 15" so could this be a solution for the 14" crew???

I've taken some pics to give you an idea........anyone local to me in Solihull with 14" wheels they can try / have them

These caps are from an early 5 series E28 version
