Is it a big job to do a valley gasket

Depends on what you call a big job and what your experience is... It's not too difficult given time and patience but it's not for the faint hearted!

The first time I did it I managed to break one of the clamp plate bolts in the block - not nice. I also uncovered a previous thermostat housing bodge that required a machine shop to drill and helicoil the inlet manifold. Not an impossible job, but quite involved...

To save time leave the plenum on there.

I have been told its 3 hours work by a friend who has a a garage .so may leave it with him
