So, the VX220 nearly broke my back after trying to use it as a daily for 3 months....
It's going to it's new home tomorrow so will be scanning for a Wedge again. biggrin

So what do you think... Project (thinking serp motor transplant with SC blower) or a nicely preserved one to enjoy.

Wide open to ideas at the mo. scratchchin

There aint very many for sale...

I must admit to having looked a bit recently. I've not got the money or space to have another wedge at the moment, but I have looked idly to see whats about.

You (formerly us...!) wedgers certainly hang on to your cars, that's for sure. I reckon perhaps the values have gone up a smidge since I sold up in 2011, but the really obvious change is just how few cars there are for sale.

I reckon an SE series car with decent engine management and a blower would be awesome.

Any Wedge is good value. It's all down to your budget. Peter Wheelers SEAC is one extreme and no doubt a fabulous investment but a 350i with the over-run valve slackened off will still put a huge smile on your face every time you drive it. Check the chassis, check the history and get one quick before the prices go silly.

Ah the million dollar question.......project vs ready to go

Having had both within the last 12 months here's my view :-)

Getting a motor that is 80-90% is a good ideal. Something that can be used and fully enjoyed from the get go with small incremental improvements as you go for be is perfect

Not right for everyone but my 2 cents :-)

Hi Wyn - It's all Glens fault for posting that vid - best sounding Wedge ever....

Wyn - I thought you were after a project Chim? - If you need a fix I'm driving to Lampeter and back in the morning (via Usk and Brecon) in the pop/fart/flames Griff with another 5.4 Griff riding shotgun ...

Back to Wedges - buy my old '350i' if Steve hasn't sold...more power than most SEACs....

Okay. What engine and who owns it now ? This does not sound like a 350i? Slightly jealous. Even the springer was impressed.
