Hey guys.

The wheels on my wedge are pretty good (no lacquer and polished but really want to return them as there are a few pitts and scuffs on them that can only really be repaired when split.

Question is, how easy is it to do and does anyone know where I can get all the bits / how to do it? Never refurbed wheels before.

Hi Matt, If its the Oz wheels you've got I decided to do mine after seeing Jimbo do his a couple of years ago, you'll need two sockets to fit the bolts and nuts around the rims, 10mm 10 point for the nuts and 8mm 10 point for the bolts, jimbo put me on to Pertsch & Partner in Germany who had the lot although you can get the sockets over here quite cheaply, they do a wide selection of bolts and nuts plus the correct sealant to reseal the rims and cleaners etc, there is a minimum spend but you'll hit that with four wheels, be prepared to spend upwards of £160 depending on choice.
I used wet and dry paper to polish the rims up over a period of weeks starting with something like 600 grit and finishing up with 2500 grit and a lot of ste up my hooter thrown in, after the wet and dry I used buffing/ polishing wheels with various wax bars, had the wheel centres re powder coated for around £50 per wheel.
Ive not bothered with lacquer on the rims, just a wheel protector and keep em clean and dry. wooly

Sounds good I ought to do my rears one day... Trouble is my standards are a bit lower and it's cheaper to buy more sets than spend the time on refubing (if you wait for the cheap ones that is;....)
