No welding tonight so I thought have a go at sorting that mess of wires out.
Non of the bits of trim seem to fit each other, the two disks that control the vents don't line up and the surround won't fit under the dash because the loom has nowhere to fit underneath the massive bit that covers the transmission tunnel.
This is going to take a bit of sorting out
I've looked at interiors on google images but can't find what is supposed to finish this.
Is this original TVR or has someone failed at making a frame to fix the facia to?
All suggestions gratefully received

Looks like someones had a go at it TBH...Although i have seen similar in other Wedges...
Cheers Zig, that's a mighty fine looking interior.
carpet's the answer then, or one of them anyway.
Bit less enthused tonight, all seems such a mess, big stuff is ok but trim I just find annoying.
Massive bonus tonight anyway, was chucking all the crap out of the passenger footwell and found the petrol locking cap keys
yes aye!
Was going to be very cheap to own until tonight is the other way to look at it of course

Its not too bad..The darker grey is vinyl paint, I wanted to see what it looked like before i buy the leather and re-trim it..Although dark red looks awesome in grey Wedges..My personal opinion of course..Although I'm still swaying towards a Saville grey main with dark grey insert and black piping with Anthracite carpet...Side winning is a better option for floor carpet in a car as it more hard wearing than expensive woven carpet which you usually cover with over mats which is a more hard wearing carpet...Like side lining...I did the rear parcel shelf a while back which was actually really easy...You need around 9m of carpet for a Wedge...Probably a tad more for errors...i paid around £26 for a roll of side lining that will be enough to do the whole car...

After:
I also used a piece on the footwells ..
Thanks for your comment Wooley, think if I can get my head around this I'll take your advice and make a new one.
Zig, steep curve here, searched lining carpet and you are refering to stretchy stuff right?
May be more helpfull on previous projects (ongoing) so I thank you for guiding me on the path of excellent trim.
The wedge has for the most part has a great carpet set albeit old, it was never much used.
Unfinished project so there's stuff missing, altered and all sorts, no wedge experience so I'm lost.
The PO passed so I'm trying to finish what wasn't allowed time for. The decent thing etc.

If it's a sheet of plastic scored, folded and welded, it's probably original. The later cars tended to have quite a few bits fabricated in such a fashion (boot liners etc.) rather than using GRP which is more time-consuming.The recess towards the rear of the centre console has a rectangle of hardboard, covered in carpet or leather, with two push-in door trim fixings to locate it.
