Brake hose collapse ?
Discussion
Morning Gents have just put wedge back on road after lay up for rad,fan and front brakes .
I fitted the infamous Princess callipers which i had already and cleaned up etc with spacer kit and used my original braided front flexi lines.
First run out car pulling horribly to right and obviously calliper sticking on after investigation disc blue with heat ! , dropped pads out and in about 10 times but wont free off at all once brake pedal depressed.
On looking at pistons all 4 seem to have not retracted ?
Is this a rebuild job do you think or am I missing something like a collapsed brake hose only allowing the pistons to come out but not return ?
Any ideas as usual would be great !
Many thanks

Sounds like corroded callipers to me, may be just the seals, how long has it been laid up?I fitted the infamous Princess callipers which i had already and cleaned up etc with spacer kit and used my original braided front flexi lines.

Hi mate...I shouldn't think that the braided hose would of collapsed...As said it sounds like the calipers are at fault...Personally i wouldn't trust a set of used brake calipers on my car and would of got them refurbished..Even if it just for peace of mind...You need to think..."Price of refurb against the consequences of no brakes"...Ziga

Many thanks Gents they were rebuilt a few years ago then stored my fault !
Thanks again will get them rebuilt again
If you have not used them since the last rebuild you may get away with just replacing the seals, unlikely the Pistons will have corroded if they haven't been fittedThanks again will get them rebuilt again
