Bad bad bad vibrations
Discussion
Give the wedge a good run out the weekend. Had the chance to give it the real beans 69 and a bit MPH you know what I'm sayin! Cruse at 60 fine, accelarate high through the revs a bit grumbly. But high speed gosh it rumbles like crazy. What am I looking for here guy's? engine/gearbox/diff mountings are my thoughts.
Hi mate...Could be wheel bearings..The fronts should have a little bit of play...Jack up and check the front and rear for any excesses play up and down..In and out on the N/S rear can be the hub nut.....Uj's can grumble a bit as well but i would check the wheel bearings and Hub nuts first...Ziga
When I first got the 420, when you gave it the beans at the speed you say I also had vibrations
My issues was engine mounts, they had splits and sagged slightly so when the engine was rocking and rolling the exhaust manifold touched the chassis causing the vibration
New mounts fitted by tvr power and zero vibrations :-)
