Heater box for Wedge

Hi All, I have on the shelf a heater box which I believe was from a 350i and which has the fan and the matrix in it. I was going to sell it on fleabay but I decided I would rather it be made available on here for someone who has a (more) faulty heater . No idea what I paid for it and not looking for money for it (possibly a bit for fuel if meeting to hand over). I am happy to hold on to it until someone needs it or if anyone has a store of spares for the community you can have it.

If you've never seen one in the flesh look over the pictures as it may help when trying to fix one. It evidently was hand built in the factory by cutting and heat welding sheets of plastic to form it to fit the space in the dash. If you need more pictures let me know. I am situated near Ross on Wye but travel across to East Anglia regularly so can take it with me if it helps for any handover.

Believe it or not, thats exactly what I have been looking for. Its for my burnt out Wedge which is slowly being rebuilt.

If I buy lunch/coffee when you're next in the area will that be a good trade? :-P

Any chance you could take a few measurements of the size of the unit, height depth, length etc? I am toying with the idea of fitting an aftermarket air con setup in my 350i and a bit of first hand knowledge on dimensions would be really useful!!

Hi Dan, sorry, after our last conversation I assumed the Wedge had gone after its garden fireball event. Yes of course you can have it - will put it in the car and let you know when in BSE next. To all others please assume it has a new home.

A friend of mine re-engineered it to be miles better. I'll see if I can find that stuff too.
