Initially doesnt look to bad but then there's a crack above the driver's side wheel in the bodywork, and it's not sitting right either, twisted chassis? Or it could just be that the body has lifted off the chassis. Needs more pics and/or personal inspection.

She was a beautiful car, totally faultless, but a lot of water could have gone under the bridge since then, though only about 8,000 miles during the intervening years.

Yep, the ride height doesn't look right on that corner. Would have been helpful to have a side on photograph of the damaged side, like the one of the undamaged side......

So did anyone here buy it? or at the sale price of £2800 would i be right in guessing that it gets relisted "due to time wasters"

Not me, but I'd have thought 3 grand to be about right.

Too busy today, or might have been tempted at that price.

It got past the point where I'd have bid long before that. Unless you could do a cheap fix-up job, you'd have to be very lucky to make any money on it IMHO. The alternative would be a fix-up-and-keep, in which case, again it needs to be cheap so that you could live with the drawbacks. With that particular car you could be looking at another £1200 to sort it, and by the time you're in 4 grand territory you could (sadly, it has to be said) find others for sale that didn't need as much work and didn't have stress fractures from stem to stern.

For that reason... I'm out
