Removed the front indicator lenses on my series 2 350i to find that they are both the same which means one has had to put on upside down. Now I know why they never quite looked right!!!

I know they are Robin Reliant lense, but does anybody know from which model and of course a source?

Hi,
I have two the same as well, not sure which side is wrong at the moment. But sounds like there is a possibility of a swap ?

Don't think so Steve, they were some big monsters weren't they?

Edit: Hmmmm. Just been looking at Neil Hyde's car and they do loook suspiciously like the R12 units.... maybe it was the 400SE that had the huge indicators then?

Oh so its not just MY 350 with two right hand ind units then. I have just replaced mine with a pair of complete units from a Reliant Rialto at about £60.00 you may find that you can not just replace the lense as the stubs are in the wrong place and the wrong hight and you may have to get the complete unit the originls are a cibie unit the ones supplied by my local Reliant dealer are not branded but look just great and about half the price I have two old right hand units with good lenses if anyone needs them

If you do not purchase a mid-life R12 unit

So does anybody know which unit will fit a 1980 series 1 Tasmin? Thinking of replacing mine, but I want to make sure that they are replaced with the correct units. My current ones are Lucas ones if that's any help?

You've answered your own question. The early cars had Lucas units in a ribbed bumper. When they changed to the Renault lights, they altered the bumper to have a smaller recess for the lights, but still ribbed.
I forget what the Lucas units were off; Maxi perhaps?
Try Ebay, you might get some new old stock items.

The early Tasmin front side/indicator units were from the Triumph Dolomite/1500. Repro lenses are available.
