All,
Martin (Redcar) and Nick (Wedgie 400) produced a few great DVD's on a small scale of last years BBWF and of various wedge gatherings.
How about going one better this year - having one central person to collate the footage and produce a DVD for sale at a nominal cost (say £5 to cover cost's) available to all after the event.
It could contain the best of last years event and there really were some highlights, photo's from last year, plus this year's BBWF, photo's .. perhaps the Wedge Epistles, EFI manual and Wedge Worskshop manual
(somebody could scan it by then).
I'm obviously not volunteering for this - as I've not event looked at the footage that I took last year
but if someone want to run with this idea and co-ordinate others to help then I'll get the tape over to someone to see if any footage can be used.
Any volunteers ?

Alan,
I wouldn't mind having a bash at this. Be aware though that I haven't had much experience of video editing yet, but I do intend to practice as I was going to film this years BBWF anyway. I don't think that I will be too bad at it and besides which I can always ask my dad for help.
However - due to working shifts and other time constraints, I doubt that I would have time to put the wedge workshop manual etc onto the dvd. So if this is ok with you and everyone else, I will make up a dvd of BBWF film and photo's. What do you think?
By the way, I would like a copy of the dvd that Martin and Nick made and also a copy of your filming of last years BBWF, if that's ok with you guy's?
Mark

Any help with filming would be good, can now edit up to 2 hrs on DVD, not to sure if Manuals can be mixed with a DVD except as photo which would be useless, and then there's copyright issues possibly.
Any one interested please email me via profile. Cost of a £5.00 might be tight with P&P and good disc's, I'll work it out nearer time.

Martin - I would be only to happy to help you with the filming. Just give me a shout and I will help you out in any way that I can!
PS: If you are free on Sunday 13 Febuary and I have got the Tasmin back, do you fancy a run out to the Mid-Essex meet, as it would be good to catch up. What do you think?

I'll volunteer to help with all the other bits (and production)
Dave
(and production) sounds interesting, I can capture, edit, add titles, fades and music and burn a master, by production do you mean copying from a master, as I've got a horrible feeling the demand could be big. (100+)and that means hours & hours & hours of burning.

Yep can do the burning
By production I meant a menu structure and assembling the DVD image (already have the software) rather than any video stuff
Datawrite blanks are about 20 p each so a fiver is probably OTT
Possible cross purposes, if you want to do the data side of things ie, manuals and so would be worth you and Rev talking. I was talking on filming and DVD of day.

Yep happy to collate and assemble data and video. They will go on the same disc BUT a PDF or Word document won't work on a domestic DVD player (in the PC for that)
sorry if I'm stating the obvious
That sounds good,if you could deal with the data disc, if you dont mind. Im happy to deal with the movie DVD side of things, but may need help with burning copies from a master after the event.

What format guys? I've got access to two 7 disc CD burners at work.
Richard.
Software I use for capture, editing and rendering is Pinnacle 8, then burn to DVD-R disc so people can play. I make a master on a good quality disc and than make copies via two disc drives on PC. If you want I can send you a copy of "The M40 Meet" DVD for you to see if you can copy via your work set up, as two seven disc copiers sounds just the thing. If you want it email me off line with your address.
