There's one on ebay for £30

Also I've got a spare that ran fine on my 350i.

I have several spares, ex-SD1 and Rangey. As expected though, whenever I've tried them in my car I get variable results as the 390's fuel requirements are different.
Several years ago a few of us tried swapping ECUs at one of the Wedgefests and in no case did any of the cars run as well as they did with their own ECU.
Most of the time, especially with cars that have been stood, it's something like stuck injectors causing the car to not start. Both Hotty and Uglymug's (are they still around?!
) cars had that problem after being parked up for a while; the ECUs were fine.
A lot of the 4CUs are suffering from solder issues and capacitors out of tolerance etc. so any used one should be treated as questionable unless seen working before purchase. If the car won't start with its original ECU but does with another then it might prove the original is faulty but it won't necessarily run as it should with the spare (especially a RR unit on a SD1/ Vitesse engine).
I have one here from a forum member that had a failed IC causing it to fire all the injectors permanently (massive flooding). However, even after replacing that and restoring some semblance of operation it still overfuels - on a 'scope you can see the injector pulses are nearly twice as wide as they should be.
