chrome handles/rubber
Discussion
hi havent been on for a while but thought id do the usuall and asked loads of questions, just been to the bromley classic car show, two wedges there both with chrome door handles with small details inlaid (tvr) mine are black and not nice, also difficult to paint. where are they from? (aquired chrome hinges for boot so would like a match). on the subject of where are they from the rubber round the front of my 350 bumper has seen better days any ideas? checked a few classic car re-trim companies but couln't see anything like it just want the car to look nice for the few summer days we have (making the most that it went through the mot with no problems, Thats worth celebrating)would love some help and this is the best place for it, reading other topics getting help elsewhere seems to have been a problem (350 brake q)
Door handles, you could take these off by removing the inner door skin, then unbolting the handles from the inside. Much easier to paint then.
or aren't they off a Capri or something? The TVR ones are obviously bespoke and would be hard to find unless you call Bellhill garage or something.
The rubber you could probably find in 'Woolies' (the car restoration company not Woolworths!) they are on the web someplace or RT or perhaps TVRcarparts.com.

Had two Capri 2.8i's, handles identical.
With TVR cast in?
Errr... Nope.![]()
My wedge has plain black, no logo.
Right then. We're trying to establish whether any S or special early models had the TVR cast in and probably in chrome. Do try to keep up at the back.
