TVR Knobheads!
Discussion
Just a Rant really.
With the exception of most of the people here, Ive realised over the last 3 - 4 weeks most of the TVR owners I have met / introduced myself to / tried to talk about cars etc are complete To$$ers.
The latest in a long line of Knobheads was a guy in a 4 litre Griff at the petrol station who gave me the sort of look as though I had stood in sh1t and was asking him to lick it!.
(I didnt have the enthusiasm to tell him his griff was a 4 litre pre-cat, and not as he had it badged a 5 litre "limited edition")
This only re-enforces my theory.
Right, im off to anoy the People I work with.

LM was ok. Not the best LM Ive ever been to, but it was ok. I think it would have been a lot worse if I hadnt been with the people we were with.
Im gonna stay off the roads now... went off on one last night down the M3 on the bike going home when this little old granny decided to try and kill me in the 7-series BMW she was driving by trying to stop me from filtering past her.
Im going to buy a BIG F**off Boat. Then I can drink and use my mobile phone whilst driving it, and run it on cheap Marine Diesel.

Jason
The baby is supposed to throw the toys out of the pram .. not the parent
He's just angry cause he can't drive his wedge..
Edited to add - I enjoyed the company at Le Mans..
Like Jason - there are somethings I would not bother with (the boring parade for one..)
Arnage instead

lol. before anyone reads between the lines and goes to far into my comments, the only let downs this year was the Weather ( too damn hot ) and the fact that its no fun having a pregnany wife who cannot stand the extremes of heat, and is unable to walk the miles around the track.
Both KerryAnn and Myself enjoyed the company of everyone we camped with (ok, it wasnt ideal because of the group size to all shop for each other, or all cook together, but we all managed)
I suppose Alan you had similar problems with Elaine and her shoulder. It must have been difficult camping / cooking and generally getting about with that sling

Noticed they have a rather clean 160 elise for sale! so sent an email to see if they take my tidy s1 plus my rare fhc 350i in part ex! the 160 is up for 14995! so they said if i put 7grand and my 2 cars they would do a deal!!
How are they in business?? my two cars have an insurance value of 16k (which i know is not the market value) But that is ridculous.
I curse the person who spends any money there.....

I must admit that some TVR owners who are not enthusiasts can be somewhat ignorant. Not knowing that a wedge is a TVR, not responding to waves etc. It does annnoy me when newer car owners diss wedges as being 80's cars (yep, cos thats when they were built!!)and dated (yep they are a quarter of a century old), and they don't go as fast or handle as well as newer cars (thats progress for you).
The only problems I have with a wedge, is that i'm never in mine when I do see another one !!
I was tanking mine up at my local shell station when a guy in a brand new DB9 started talking to me and saying how nice my 450 was !! I was most impressed with his DB9 and told him so... This is what motoring should be like, mutual respect for what ever you've got and whatever you paid for it....
I don't really care what other people think or know about wedges, I bet we are all willing and able to educate others if the occasion arose, but the main thing is that I know what a wedge is capable of, it's big, it's bad and it's mine !!

So far I haven't come across other tvr's not speaking/waving but it sounds like they are out there somewhere; possibly they either think they have moved on from wedges - sad - or they are too young to know what a wedge is - their loss, having seen and heard the more modern types at tvr meets .
