Air filter re-fix to air flow meter
Discussion
Thinking how to get the air filter assembly repaired. Last drive nearly lost the filter (K&N) and all the stuff required to mount it to the AFM. All parts still there, as luckily the first dropped just entering the driveway at home! The thread of the four studs at the flapper AFM-side most have been overthightend in the past. And checking and thighting on a regular basis, it now can just let go within 20 miles drive there after. Considering to make new studs out of threaded rod bought at the DIY-shop, and make sure it stays in place at the AFM-side with lock-tight blue.
Anybody any experience with such a repair? Do you consider it to be the right solution? Any risks of damaging the AFM in the process, etc.?
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Seems like I have all the parts, except that I need to buy more string....
Need to fix the filter before the next time to have take the TVR for a spin, but working at work and on the old house instead for the moment. Hope to get it fixed next weekend as I feel redrawal symptoms coming up.
